Plain words match forms, meanings, and language names. Commas separate alternatives (frog, snail); inside a field, quote the alternatives together (gloss:"frog, snail"). Quote a value containing spaces. Narrow one axis with field:value — fields combine: try gloss:dog subgroup:Kiranti; repeating a field requires both at once (gloss:body gloss:hair).
