This root is solidly established. The cognacy of the Lahu form is open to question, although it seems directly cognate to Luquan ntʂ'e¹¹ ‘borrow / lend / debt’. (Lahu voiced initials descend from *prenasalized ones.) The Luquan form has, however, been assigned to #2314 PTB *s-kəy BORROW / LEND for the moment.
