STEDT #5584
*niŋ
WAY / METHOD / CUSTOM
Notes
This WB / Lai comparison is due to Kenneth VanBik. The WB form is called a loanword from Pali , both from Judson (1893 / 1966) and in the Myanmar-English Dictionary:235, but this seems unlikely in view of the Lai cognate. See HPTB:281.
