Chinese comparandum
蝙蝠 OC (*pi̯ŭk), GSR (not in #933) ‘bat (animal)’; Schuessler 2007:165 ST *p/bək; B & S 2011: (*pək); Mand. fú.
Comment: In Chinese, 蝙 fú is usually found in the compound 蝙蝙, Mand. biānfú, which is the common word for ‘bat (animal)’. The compound itself is of quite ancient origin (cf. Shuowen).
