This root bears a strong resemblance to #1794 PTB *suk COUGH. For now, we are assigning reflexes with open syllables or final -t to the present etymon, and those with final velars to #1794 PTB *suk COUGH.

If these two roots were to be combined, it would necessitate a reconstruction like səw-t ⪤ səwk.
