This root is very likely related to #1906 PTB *m-(t/d)u(ŋ/k) SIT, despite the unusual variation between a dental stop and initial *r-. However, we posit a similar relationship between the very well-established #2686 PTB *(t/d)ak WEAVE and #5669 PTB *rak WEAVE / DRIVE / CHASE.
