Bradley (1979, no. 674) reconstructs Proto-Loloish *h/loŋ¹ on the basis of forms like Black Lahu lɔ̀ and WB hoŋ. However, I believe two separate roots are involved: #1790 PTB *laŋ BARK (v.) and #6092 PTB *haw(ŋ/k) BARK (v.).
