This root has perhaps developed into Proto Tani #6535 PTani *pu WRAP UP IN A BUNDLE, in which subgroup no trace of the final nasal remains.
The Mizo form bun was assigned to #2180 PTB *bu(w) WEAR in STC #428. In any case, these two roots may well be allofamically related.
