Notes
STC sets up two separate roots: #330 PTB *(t)s(y)ow FINGER *kaːŋ and glossed ‘roast / toast / burn’ and #331 PTB *(t)si FINGER *kaŋ glossed ‘dry up’. We regard these two sets as reflecting the same etymon.
The sense of “thirsty” is not recognized in STC #330, 331.
